Countdown Candles –

How it works:

Burn the candle for 2-3 hours on the first night until the top layer has melted. This ensures a level and even burn each day thereafter.
After the initial burn light the candle for 1 hour a night, ticking off each day as it comes. This allows enough time for the essential oil aromas to be released while ensuring your candle will last the entire months countdown.
Once your candle has burnt down to a natural end, your countdown calendar will be ticked off and your dream day will have arrived!

How and when can you use Clary Sage in labour👇🏽

🌿 Clary Sage essential oil has a strong, heady fragrance which is known to empower the mind while balancing emotions; the perfect combination for labour and birth.

🌿 Some expectant mamas will use Clary Sage oil from full term (37 weeks) or before any signs of labour have started to gently tone the uterine muscles, however it’s worth noting this can occasionally cause surges and (very, very rarely) bring on the start of an early labour when perhaps your body or baby isn’t quite ready yet.
For this reason we advise to hold off if you can until a natural or hospital induced labour begins…

🌿 Using Clary Sage oil can enhance and strengthen muscle surges happening in the uterus during early and established labour.
Inhaling the oil between surges supports your muscles and works with your labour during the most crucial time, lending you support when you need it most.

🌿 The Pillow Spray can be used directly on your favourite pillow / blanket and brought into a birthing unit or sprayed around your private labour room.
*Check with a midwife before spritzing around any open wards as this may impact other labours. This also goes for pure essential oils which are being diffused.

🌿 The Pulse Point Rollerball can be applied and reapplied as often as required to your wrists and inhaled between surges.
It can also be rubbed into the temples, behind the ears, lower back or on the tummy as a massage oil.
Alternatively it can be inhaled directly from the Rollerballs bottle.

🌿 The bath oil can be used in early labour (before waters have broken) as a soothing way to relax the muscles and help ease any pain while preparing the body and mind for the next stage.

🌿 Burning a wax melt or candle during the early signs of labour at home can help create a calming anchor too - just use the same fragrance blend in a rollerball or pure oil once at hospital / your chosen birth place and the familiar scent will bring you back to your relaxed mindset from home.

Starting at a new nursery or school environment ca

Starting at a new nursery or school environment can be daunting for little ones, but there are ways we can ease their big feelings🤍

In the same way we use scents as an anchor to regulate our feelings during pregnancy relaxation and then again in labour and birth, little ones can also associate calming scents with feelings of safety and comfort too.

If you’re little one is over 6years+ a calming rollerball can be applied to the wrists as a ‘magic comforting tool’ to remind them they are safe.
*This works just as well to balance our emotions as the parents too!

For toddlers starting nursery or a child minder setting, you could try spritzing a pillow and room spray while they’re getting ready, in the car or on add it to their favourite blanket.

Additional ways to ease their transition can include:
🧸Bringing a familiar comforter, teddy or blanket with them.
👔Trying on new uniforms before the first day so they’re used to them, and letting them pick any accessories / bags / lunchboxes etc to match.
🌅Ensuring bed times / wake-up times over the summer holidays roughly match their school day a week or so before they start so the mornings aren’t such a shock to the system.
👩🏽‍🏫Show them pictures of their new school, their teachers and practice their names so they feel more familiar.
👫Plan a play date with any other little ones in the class if you know them.
❤️Pop a heart or symbol in their bag, uniform or lunchbox so they know you’re thinking of them and never far away.
